Which is Better Fixed Deposit or MIS?

 If you want to invest without any risk of your investment, both Fixed deposit and MIS are good. Fixed deposit means, you go to bank and deposit your specific money whether 10,000 or 10,00,000 for 1 year or 5 year or 10 years and you will get money with interest on its maturity. 

MIS is also a type of fixed deposit where you will get its return in the form of interest every month. Both are good but which is better, it depends on lots of factors 



1. Your Goal

If your goal is to increase the value of your Fixed deposit, FD is good because, when you get it monthly, it may use for buying any product or service which does not generate any income. So, your total investment will not increase. So, at a time, fixed deposit is better than MIS fixed deposit

If your goal is to support your business monthly expenses or you want to retire, then MIS fixed deposit is better than your fixed deposit

Why

Monthly expenses are the blood line of business

Suppose, you are doing online business, 

you want to tension free its internet bills, electricity bills and other domain bills, you have extra fund. Fixed deposit and every month interest, you will get and pay all expenses. 

If you want to become retire and enjoy your life. MIS fixed deposit is best option because want to consume as monthly interest as monthly pension.

2. Where You Want to Invest

If you want to invest big like real estate investment or buying big vehicle, you need to invest in fixed deposit instead MIS

If you want to invest small things monthly basis, MIS is best. 

Understand it with example

Suppose, if you have fixed deposit 

Rs. 5,00,000 and its 1 year interest @6.75% = Rs. 33750

Rs. 5,00,000 and its 2nd year interest @6.75% = Rs. 33750

Rs. 5,00,000 and its 3rd year interest @6.75% = Rs. 33750

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now, with three years interest = Rs. 101250

================================================

With this, you can buy electric motor cycle and free from petrol. 

So, Fd is better

but if you want to buy Small reta and cement for plaster or doing such things

Rs. 5,00,000 and its 1 month  interest @6.75% = Rs. 2812

is enough
