3. Construct a 9-inch thick base wall on all four sides
4. Use a cement and sand mixture for brick masonry

Cement–Sand Ratio: 1:4

Step 2: Build a 4-Inch Wall in the Center Above the Base

1. At the center of the base
2. Construct a 4-inch thick wall
3. Use cement and sand mortar for masonry

Step 5: Stop Leakage Using Cement Slurry (Neru)

Mix cement in one bucket of water to make a thin slurry and spread it properly on the inner walls and floor of the trough.

Step 6: Finishing with Trowel and Brush

Smooth the surface using a trowel and lightly brush it for a strong and even finish.

Curing Process (Very Important)

• Keep the trough wet for at least 7 days
• Sprinkle water 2–3 times a day
• This ensures the cement gains full strength
